Reflections for Veteran Teachers
Ejournal #3-Due March 5, 2001- Now, I have been easy on you all year, so this time you are really going to have to think!! Please go to the following link http://www.sprnet.org/tie/Principals/prinassign.htm and click on the PDAS and technology document that we posted for principals. This document is one which Sheron received at the Midwinter Conference for administrators. It addresses the integration of technology and where it should be scored on PDAS. All of the principals have looked at this, but most of them have not had training to the degree that all of you have had. Therefore, they do not know what they should see in these areas if technology is successfully integrated. Therefore, I need your opinions. I am going to assign each district a different area of the document to address. Please use your great skills of creating a rubric, to create a rubric and share it with your ebuddy about how you would score a teacher under the assigned Domain and Criterian-assuming that the teacher has had sufficient training in these areas and that they have appropriate access to technology. Then, I would like for you to write your ebuddy back and comment on their rubric- tell them how you would change it or add to it. Don't forget that you need to send me a copy of your ejournal when you send it to your buddy.
PDAS is on a 4 point scale, so look at your assigned area and give me clear indicators for each category in your assigned area. I have put a short deadline on this, because we want to share what you come up with at our next principals' forum. We will not attach names to your work. Your principals want to know from the experts (that's you) what you think. Click here to find a rubric chart outline that you may use. Below are the assignments by district.

Ejournal #2-Due November 8- Don't ever say I haven't been easy on you now because we are going to kill 2 birds with one stone with this one. Send a message to your ebuddy, to Debi and to texas_list@virtualthink.com about what your ideas for your virtual field trip include. Remember, you only need a rough idea right now.
Ejournal #1- Due Sept. 22- Remember veterans, you send a copy to your ebuddy and to Debi
This ejournal assignment is all about BALANCE. Reflect with your ebuddy about how you are going to balance things this year, time with your mentee and time for personal growth, time for your students and time for yourself, being a coach and the trainer of mentee and allowing your mentee to make some of the mistakes they need to make in order to learn (without becoming too frustrated). Have you already dealt with issues of balance? Give examples of the issue and the solution.
